U.S. News and World Report recently named North Dorchester High School in the top quarter of high schools nationally, in the top third of Maryland high schools, and number two in the tri-county area.

EAGLE PRIDE: I am so proud of our NDHS Eagles and the staff for all their head dedicated work with our amazing students.

WELL DONE!: Congratulations to Principal Lynn Sorrells and staff.

Delaware’s tall ship, the Kalmar Nyckel, received an enthusiast welcome in Cambridge over the weekend.

WORTH THE TRIP: A perfect setting, great job! If I didn’t already live in Cambridge, I would certainly come to see this. Beautiful.

AWESOME EXPERIENCE: I took an afternoon trip on her and even got to help trim the sails. It was awesome!

ALL ABOARD: Glad to see she was all sold out for Cambridge.

The Maple Elementary School Marching Lions and their director were praised for an active and successful year.

UNFORGETTABLE: They’re all so awesome and should be proud of their accomplishments. Thanks you, Band Director Ray Washington for your time and dedication. These kids will never forget.

GREAT TEACHER: These kids have a great teacher. Go Ray Washington, you teach them great things!

Patti Smith recorded on video the rescue of seven ducklings, who were trapped in a drain at a housing development. Maintenance staff and a crew from the Cambridge Department of Public Works freed the little birds and reunited them with their worried mother.

HUMANITARIAN RESCUE: We were so excited to see this great humanitarian rescue of the ducklings. It reminded us of all of our days in Dorchester County. Thanks, Patty, for posting this for us all to appreciate.

HAPPY ENDING: This was a great happy ending and those guys did a wonderful thing to help the babies and their momma

Smithsonian Magazine placed Cambridge in its Top 15 small towns in America.

YEP, THAT’S RIGHT: Cambridge was selected by Smithsonian as one of the top towns in America. I do agree.

A GEM: I love the shoutout for Downtown Cambridge by the Smithsonian Magazine, Wow! 🤗Bravo! Congratulations, such a gem of a place to live Not one day do I take it for granted.

The Eagleman Triathlon took place in Dorchester County on June 9, attracting thousands of athletes and spectators.
