GRATITUDE: A huge thank you to all that came out in support of the 2018 Santa Swim. Those of you who swam, those who made a donation and those that came to watch it is your support that allows us to help those in need here in Dorchester County.

Hundreds volunteered Dec. 15 to lay wreaths at the Eastern Shore Veterans’ Cemetery in Beulah.
APPRECIATION: This awesome group of volunteers, some from organizations and some just caring citizens, put down 7,400 wreaths in just one half of an hour. Cars were lining MD 331 for almost a mile on each side of the road, in the cemetery and anywhere they could find a spot. This was just an incredible outpouring of appreciation to our veterans showing the true spirit of the holidays. Many thanks to all who participated.
HARD TO BELIEVE: This was so awesome. The number of people who showed up was just unbelievable.
SHOCKED: It was the best. I was shocked how many cars were on the road.

The 2018 National Open Championship for English Springer Spaniels was held in Dorchester last week. The event made an impression on those who learned about it.
GOOD ENOUGH?: Wow! I guess me and my old springer would never make the cut.
