Senior All-Stars to play on Saturday

Under Armour Senior Bowl

CAMBRIDGE – The 8th Annual Eastern Shore Bowl Senior All-Star Football Game will take place on Saturday in Viking Stadium.

The North Team, led by Coach Matt Griffith of Easton, will feature players from Kent Island, Queen Anne, Kent County, North Caroline, Colonel Richardson, Easton and Cambridge. Key players for the North are Jaelon Moaney, Bradley Harmon, L.J. Flournoy, Terry Wilson, James Smith and TaVon Thomas.

The South, led by Coach Hoot Gibson of Bennett, will be composed of players from Stephen Decatur, Snow Hill, Washington, Wicomico, James M. Bennett and Parkside. The South’s key players are JaMarkus Brumskin, Nelson Brown, Sam Coates, Malcom Downing and TrayShawn Wright.

The South leads the series, 4-3.

The game will be the culmination of a very successful season for the Bayside Conference. For the first time, the conference saw both the 1A East Final and 2A East Final represented by all North Bayside teams – Easton, Kent County, Cambridge and Kent Island.

The North Bayside tied last year’s record, with five teams making the Maryland State playoffs. It was the second year in a row that the conference saw two teams win their prospective regions – Kent Island and C-SD.

A prepared statement from Cambridge-South Dorchester Head Football Coach Jake Coleman said, “Thank you so much for supporting the 8th Annual Eastern Shore Bowl Senior All-Star Game. I always wanted as a player the opportunity to play in a game like this. That’s why, eight years ago, we made this happen as a coaching community.”

“It has been an excellent way for rival players to join forces and make new friends,” Coach Coleman said. “Many of our student-athletes make friendships in this week of practice that will have the rest of their lives. It is truly something special that couldn’t be done without many partners and the support of all the Bayside coaches.”

“All players, coaches and administrators should share a sense of pride in their accomplishments this season. Your sacrifice, determination and hard work have brought you much-deserved success. The most important life lesson to be learned today is not who is number one, but rather recognizing the effort it takes to succeed.”

Admission will be $8.00. Kickoff is at 1:00 p.m.
