CAMBRIDGE — On April 20th, at 7:30 a.m., 60 runners toed the line for the 2019 Cambridge Crab Run Half Marathon. This 13.1 mile course, which started at Great Marsh Park in Cambridge, is an exact copy of the run course for the upcoming Eagleman 70.3 triathlon in June.

With participants from five different states, this field of diverse athletes started the day in wet conditions, but these would soon clear out and give way to a beautiful day in the City of Cambridge and Dorchester County.

Those participants who were up for more of a challenge, were invited to also participate in the 5k (3.1 mile event) which started exactly two hours after the half marathon.

Seven of the half marathoners were able to complete the first half of the races in ample time to line up with the 73 other runners for the 5k.

A great time was had by all and overall awards winners were treated to local prizes from Maiden Maryland, right here in Downtown Cambridge.

The top male finisher was Dave Orlik, 56, who clocked 1:43:13.4.

The top female finisher was Katherine Hanley, 49, who crossed the line in 1:53:42.1.
