CAMBRIDGE – Taste of Cambridge tickets are on sale now in physical locations throughout the city. The Dorchester County Visitors Center, The Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce and Katie Mae’s Country Shoppe have tickets to the Crab Cook-Off for $25 apiece.

Each location will accept cash or check, made out to Cambridge Main Street. Online tickets can still be purchased at www.cambridgemainstreet.com. Taste of Cambridge will take place July 11, from 5-10 p.m. in downtown Cambridge.

“We’ve been very fortunate to have partnerships with the Visitors Center and the Chamber of Commerce for years, especially when it comes to selling these tickets,” said Brandon Hesson, executive director of Cambridge Main Street. “We don’t have a physical storefront, so being able to get them available on the street is very important.”

Taste of Cambridge Crab Cook-Off is a street festival featuring live music, awesome food and family fun throughout Race and Poplar streets. In its 11th year, the event has grown to become a qualifier for the World Food Championships, held this year in Kissimmee, Fla. The street festival is free, but only ticketholders will be allowed to eat the creative crab dishes of more than a dozen area restaurants. Winners in five categories will be determined by a team of celebrity judges from around the country, as well as by the tasters, who will cast their ballots for Peoples’ Choice winners in each category.

“Taste of Cambridge is a tradition here,” said Mr. Hesson, pointing out that the event has sold out each of the last two years. “We hope everyone can get out and pick up tickets while we still have them.”
