CAMBRIDGE – Groove City Studio is proud to announce three special events in the month of October.

On October 13, the band Ripple will lend their voices to the night at the Groove City Studio at 516 Race St. in Cambridge. “Ripple” is a folk/Americana trio that performs a mix of diverse cover songs with originals you’ll want to hear again.

Described as “positive and uplifting,” Ripple is the crowd-pleasing trio of Liz Fisher, Paul Harrison, and Randy Welch. Ripple will be “playing an array of Americana and folk originals…if you’re a fan of Van Morrison or Gillian Welch, you will LOVE the band Ripple!” A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to Mid Shore Mediation.

Then, on Oct. 19, John Nemeth and the Blue Dreamers will return to town once again, playing in the newly renovated Groove City Studio. John Nemeth and his band are the new wave of “blue eyed soul” music in the USA, with many albums to their credit and a shelf full of Blues Music Awards. Nemeth and the Blue Dreamers are kicking off the GrooveFest weekend at the Studios, and they will also be headlining at Sunday’s GrooveFest.

The band plays a mix of soul and blues in a laid-back groove that is bound to get you swaying to the rhythm! This show is expected to sell out quickly, so get your tickets in advance.

Finally, Groove City Studios will welcome blues master Chris English to the stage on Oct. 27. English, who often plays with his son Grayson (on bass), presents a repertoire of classic blues tunes reminiscent of Robert Johnson, Lightning Hopkins and Howlin’ Wolf. Chris and Grayson played at last year’s GrooveFest, and the duo have been excited to come back to Cambridge ever since.

All shows are at 7 p.m., with the doors opening at 6:30. Tickets are $20 for the John Nemeth show, and $15 each for Ripple and Chris English. Snacks and a cash bar with beer and wine will be offered at each event. Purchase tickets online at
