CAMBRIDGE – Dorchester Center for the Arts is pleased to announce they will soon be reopening with limited hours. This means Studioworks, the onsite artisans’ gift shop, will be opening as well. Studioworks is a hidden jewel in downtown Cambridge.

Once inside, visitors will find an intriguing selection of handmade items created by talented artists and artisans, from original paintings and photographs to hand-thrown pottery to one-of-a-kind jewelry to hand-woven baskets and wooden bowls. Studioworks also features sculpture, glass art, ceramics, fiber art, handmade note cards, and more.

Always full of newly created items, Studioworks showcases local and regional artists, and selects pieces for sale through a juried process to ensure high quality. A handcrafted work of art is always a thoughtful gift for others, or a treat for yourself! Purchases support these artists directly, as well as programs at DCA.

Right now, new artists and artisans are being sought for consideration, to both expand the inventory and to support the creative community. For more information email Visual Arts Coordinator Katie Hurley: khurley@dorchesterarts.org.
