CAMBRIDGE – Dorchester County student Becca Brault, a 4-H club member, spent last weekend sewing more than 50 masks with her mother Christina. The cloth protective gear is being donated to local health care providers to supplement their supply as they work to treat victims of COVID-19.

Ms. Brault wrote online that the project exemplifies the goals of 4-H, which include using heads, hearts and hands to benefit the health of a community.

The clubs are facilitated by University of Maryland Extension. To learn more about the groups, visit https://extension.umd.edu/.
