Teacher presents Kindergarten book to Pleasant Day Vets

Maple Elementary SChool teacher Ms. Michelle Gregori present a copy of the book “Because of Veterans” to Mr. Benito Lake Sr., a veteran Army medic, at Pleasant Day Adult Day Care.

Ms. Michelle Gregori, a Dorchester County teacher representing the Maple Elementary 2015-16 kindergarten class, presented and read a book titled “Because of Veterans” to Pleasant Day Medical Adult Day Care Veterans. The book was created and published by the kindergarten class. Excerpts from the book include “Because of veterans, I am free to sing,” by Cierra, “Because of veterans, I am free to learn at school,” by Justin, and “Because of veterans, I am free to go to the movies and watch Sponge Bob” by Nichele. Mr. Benito Lake Sr., a veteran Army medic, accepted the book on behalf of the veterans at Pleasant Day.
