Get ready, get set, READ! Summer Reading is still going strong! Help prevent the dreaded “Summer Slide” with school out, by coming to the library for books, games, programs, and more! Sign-up any time for our Summer Reading Program with sports and exercise-themed tasks and events. Summer Reading is for ALL AGES: infants through adults! Receive a free book with sign up, as well as the chance to complete simple, theme-related tasks to earn prizes or chances to win raffle prizes.

Adults will also receive a free book for completed bingo boards and will earn a chance to win a tote bag filled with goodies at the end of summer. Teens can complete (multiple) raffle chances to win a desired gift card from one of the following: Wal-Mart, Amazon.com, Rue 21, or GameStop. Infants through children (about age 11 or 12) can complete simple, themed tasks to earn 3 prizes: a sporty rubber duckie, an inflatable sports ball or black sports lanyard, and culminating in a blue Sneaks the Cat Summer Reading t-shirt. Kids can also select small, weekly prizes from our treasure chest when they bring in their reading logs (at both branches).

SWEET SUMMER WRAP-UP!
All children who complete their Summer Reading tasks and receive their t-shirt are eligible to attend a special “Summer Reading Finish Line Celebration” with ice-cream, freeze-pops, and the grand prize raffle drawing, on Aug. 20! Hurlock’s Celebration will be held from 10am-noon, while Cambridge’s party will be from 2-3 pm.

CHECK IT OUT!
Love sports and want to learn more?! Come read about your favorite sports, athletes, and teams, like Serena Williams, LeBron James, Muhammed Ali, Manny Machado, the Baltimore Orioles, the Washington Wizards – plus many more – at both library branches!
