CAMBRIDGE – Cambridge-South Dorchester High School senior Thomas Frazier is the second Dorchester County Public School (DCPS) student to sign an employment agreement with GKD-USA through the Maryland Youth Apprenticeship Program (MYAP).

He recently attended an event at which he was congratulated by GKD-USA Vice President of Manufacturing Leon Shockley.

MYAP is an “earn and learn” opportunity for students. Eligible candidates must be 16 years old, have reliable transportation, and be on track with all diploma-dependent coursework and requirements. Youth apprentices complete a minimum of 450 working hours under the supervision of an assigned mentor.

More information is available on the DCPS website. Go to the link for either C-SDHS or NDHS and look for Youth Apprenticeship Program on the school home page.
