CAMBRIDGE — On April 28, new students were inducted into the Hispanic Honor Society Chapter, Las Caritas de Angel, at C-SDHS. Students were invited to be a part of this prestigious honor society based on their exemplary performance in their Spanish courses.
The program was performed in both Spanish and English concluding with each student pledging to continue their endeavors in the study of Hispanic language and culture.

In addition to new members, newly elected officers were officially presented their leadership stoles and have officially started their directorship for the 2016-2017 school year. After the ceremony, students and parents enjoyed traditional Hispanic desserts including “tres leches” cake. The society has big plans for this upcoming school year for raising awareness and interest about Spanish in our school and our community.

During the event the former officers; Ashley Willey (president), Ineca Elliott (vice president), and Paige Bleyer transferred the leadership to the new officers for the school year 2016-2017, Emily Brohawn (president), Keysha Torres-Ortíz (vice-president), and Leah Krotee (Secretary).
