CAMBRIDGE — Four 4-H youth members from Dorchester County recently participated in the Maryland State Fair. The 135th Maryland State Fair was held Aug. 26 – Sept. 5 in Timonium, and provided a state-level opportunity for youth involved in 4-H and FFA programs to showcase their projects, skills, and knowledge.

Dorchester County 4-H participants included Kaitlyn Bradley, Ali Todd, Rachel Widmaier, and Erica Willing. The 4-Hers exhibited projects ranging from photography and art to baked goods and floral arrangements. Erica Willing also participated in the 4-H Photo Challenge Contest, and exhibited her meat goats in 4-H, breed, and open shows.

The Dorchester County 4-H program is the youth development program of University of Maryland Extension. 4-H is open to any youth ages 5-18 as of Jan. 1. 4-H is an equal access and equal opportunity program.
