Katie Mae’s Country Shoppe at 516 Poplar St. in Cambridge celebrated its one year anniversary on July 24, with a party in the parking lot and a ribbon cutting hosted by the Chamber of Commerce.

“Katie Mae’s has been a dream of mine,” said Katie Mae Smith, owner of the Country Shoppe. “It’s great to be able to celebrate our first year and look forward to many more!”

Ms. Smith crafted her Amish-themed luncheonette and furniture/craft store on the traditions of the Amish families she knew growing up in the country near Dover, Del. Katie Mae’s is open six days a week, serving breakfast, lunch and all-you-can-eat dinners in their attractive downtown location.
