HURLOCK — With temperatures predicted in the mid 40s for Saturday, the 5th Annual Black List Awards attendees will not have to worry about a snowstorm this year. Although the near blizzard kept him from crossing the Bay last year, Lt. Gov. Boyd Rutherford will have no problem attending the 2016 awards to fulfill his role as guest speaker this year.

The annual event is sponsored by the Rev. Charles Cephas and the Hurlock Ministers & Citizens Association to honor people who have served their communities with distinction over the years. Featured during the evening will be gospel groups, bands, and singers whose music always challenges a seated audience to stay still.

The public is invited to attend the event which is slated for 5 p.m. at the North Dorchester Middle School. For information contact Doretha Cephas at 410-943-3142.
