Eleven dedicated volunteers, representing Dorchester Citizens for Planned Growth and Concerned Citizens for Northern Dorchester braved the morning rain on April 2 to make a difference for the tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay for the 13th Annual Project Clean Stream sponsored by the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay. Working at road crossings of the Gravel Run and the Skinner’s Run, 86 bags of trash were collected, totaling 1,740 pounds: 60 tires, an over-stuffed chair, a pile of rope and a discarded canopy were also collected for later county pickup. It was a great day for the waters of Dorchester.
