Dorchester Banner/First UM Church Church members pose with just a few of the items available at the First UM Church 4th Annual Holiday Auction.

SECRETARY — The 4th Annual Holiday Auction will be held on Nov. 15 at the Suicide Bridge Restaurant Pavilion. The Rev. Dave Kreek and the people of First UM Church of Secretary welcome the public to stop by to eat, visit and check some holiday gifts off the list while supporting a local cause. Proceeds will assist with church activities and repair of the furnace.

Admission is free with doors opening at 1 p.m. for preview of the items. Entertainment will be provided by Unity, Susan Dukes and Cindy Guillion, prior to the live auction which begins at 2 p.m.

Suicide Bridge Restaurant has arranged a fixed menu available for purchase in the pavilion. Complimentary sodas and coffee are provided.

Tom Trice brings his humorous style of auctioneering to the event. Local artisan donations include a downy woodpecker by Warren Saunders, a shorebird by Eddie Wozny and a George Wright print. A bufflehead duck carved by Linda Parks of Talbot County will also be featured. Additional items include a one week Myrtle Beach condo rental, a guided hunting trip, jewelry, gift certificates to local businesses and themed gift baskets wrapped and ready to put under the tree.
