Nazarene Services

Grace UMC

St. Paul’s Sunday School
The Gleaners Class of St. Paul’s UM Church in Cambridge will meet at 9:45 a.m. with Gloria Whaley having the devotions and Gary Hickman teaching. The Richardson Men’s Class will meet at the same time with Randy Bradford having the devotions and teaching the lesson.

Waugh Chapel Activities

Homecoming
New Revived United Methodist Church located at 4350 Smithville Road, Taylors Island, Maryland will celebrate its annual Homecoming on Nov. 3. Morning Worship-11 a.m. with the Rev. Darlene Dixon.
Afternoon Worship, 3:30 p.m. with the Rev. Elmer Davis. A 2 p.m. Fellowship meal will precede the afternoon worship.

Trunk or Treat
On Oct. 31 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. the five United Methodist Churches in Cambridge are sponsoring the Trunk or Treat. It will be held in the back parking lot of Grace UM Church, corner of Race and Muir streets in Cambridge.
On Halloween night, Trinity UM Church in East New Market wi ll be hosting a Trunk or Treat in the parking lot of the church at 6 p.m.

Family and Friends Day
The Waugh Chapel UM Choir invites you to join them for their annual Family and Friends Day on Nov. 10, during the 10 am worship service.
The messenger will be the Rev. Elmer N. Davis, superintendent of the Easton District of the United Methodist Church. Dinner will be served immediately following the service.

Annual Homecoming
Zoar UM Church in Reid’s Grove will celebrate Homecoming at 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 10. Guest preacher will be the Rev. Dr. Bernadette Beckett, along with her choir and congregation from Wesley Temple UM Church in Salisbury.
Dinner will be served at 1 p.m. The public is invited. Host pastor is the Rev. Jerome Tilghman Sr.

Annual Homecoming
Annual Homecoming will be held at Christ UM Church, 5033 Aireys Road, Cambridge on Nov. 10.
The morning service at 9 a.m. will have Minister Altamese Burbage from Victory Christian Fellowship in New Castle, Del. bring the message.
The Rev. Ashley Jones from The East New Market/Linkwood charge will bring the afternoon message at 3 p.m. She will be accompanied by The Homecoming Choir under the direction of Bishop Adrian Newton. A fellowship dinner will take place following the afternoon service.
The Homecoming Committee is the sponsor and the Rev. Roslyn Watts is host pastor. All are welcome.

Widows & Widowers Luncheon
Comedian Ken Huff of Oxen Hill will perform at the Widows & Widowers Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 16 at 801 Race St., Cambridge.
Lunch is free for widows and widowers, $10 for others attending. In memory of Dorothy M. Jones. $100 cash giveaways and door prizes.

John Wesley UM Church of Liners Road will celebrate its Annual Homecoming at 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 17. The messenger will be Elder Craig Mathies, accompanied by the Zion Baptist Church Choir and congregation.

Sister to Sister
Sister to Sister is a women’s ministry of the New Life Christian Church and Ministries. The ministry meets the 2nd Saturday of every month with a themed event for food, fellowship and/or prayer. There is no charge and all are welcome.
